Lydia Greenway, who is a 'Chance to shine' Ambassador as well as an England Test, ODI and T20 international, spoke to ECBtv on 28th May ahead of the 2009 Women's World T20 Cup which is being held in England at the same time as the men's competition.

Lydia was at the Club just two days earlier on 26th May for a 'Chance to shine' Festival event aimed at promoting the game to girls in the area.  We'll be posting photos of that even elsewhere on the site as soon as possible.

Taunton will host the women’s group matches at the ICC World Twenty20 in June 2009.

The semi-finals of the women’s ICC World Twenty20 will be held at the same ground, on the same day and same ticket as the men’s semi finals – at the Brit Oval and Trent Bridge – and the women’s final will be a precursor for the men’s final to be held at Lord’s on June 21, 2009.
